Well I know I commented a while back, but looking at this beautiful piece for the hundredth time, I figured I would ask... am I seeing a light sketch of a "unicorn horn"? What ever your inspiration was for this, keep it up. I adore all your work.
A lovely piece with beautiful emotion behind it. Well done! I also like all the textures, it seems like she's looking through a window with condensation and fingerprints/smudges all over it. I think the messiness of the texture looks sensational and works perfectly with the composition, in my opinion. It simply adds to the stress and contemplation that the character must be feeling (her anxiety, from feeling left behind by society?) I can even see the reflection of a city in the glass. The red swirls of hair contrasts nicely against the cold blue textures that you've created. It's truly a beautiful piece.
Thank you for such detailed response) I'm happy you see it all... and even more as for the character - I think that she feels sad looking at the world (through the window), maybe she's behind, maybe she's among us and we can see her nature only in the reflection..)
Her face is painted faultless and the tones are beautiful, but for me the messiness of the background and her hair just doesn't work. It only looks unfinished. The perspective of the window frame (if that's what it is) looks strange. Her hand isn't anatomically very good - especially next to the well-done face.
